The Bullmastiff Breed Council Criteria for Compilation

of Judging List 2009-10

The A1 List

To be approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs, to have completed their first appointment and to have the support of the Bullmastiff Breed Council.

The A2 List

For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and have been assessed in accordance with KC requirements and accepted by the KC for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the BBC.

A3 Breed Specialist

Requirements include :-

1. Minimum of 7 years’ judging experience in the breed and to have the support of the BBC.

2. To have judged at least one Club Show.

3. To have judged 100 Bullmastiffs in the UK.

4. To have attended the relevant seminars including :- The requirements of a Dog Show Judge given by a KC accredited trainer, Conformation and Movement (plus hands-on assessment) by a KC accredited trainer and to have passed the examinations.

5. To have attended at least one Breed Specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and to have passed the examination and /or assessment where applicable.

6. To have stewarded at 12 shows, one a Breed Club Show.

7. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of this breed when they obtained their 1st entry in the KC Stud Book ( save in exceptional circumstances).

A3 Non-Breed Specialist

Requirements include :-

1. Minimum of 7 years’ judging experience in any one breed( to include 5 years’ experience in this breed) and to have the support of the BBC.

2. To have judged one Breed Club Show and to have the support of that Club.

3. To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed.

4. To have judged 100 Bullmastiffs in the UK.

5. To have attended at least one Breed Specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and to have passed the examination and /or assessment as applicable.

6. To have bred and /or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their 1st entry in the KC Stud Book( save in exceptional circumstances).

The Bullmastiff Breed Council does not currently hold a B or C list, leaving these to the individual constituent clubs but these would be the requirements.

B list Breed Specialist

1. To have a minimum of 5 years’ experience owning and exhibiting this breed and to have the support of a Breed Club.

2. To have judged 16 classes of this breed and a minimum of 30 dogs.

3. To have attended at least one Breed Specific seminar and passed an assessment where applicable.

B List Non-Specialist

1. To have a minimum of 5 years’ judging experience in any breed and to have the support of at least one Breed Club.

2. To have judged a minimum of 12 classes and at least 30 dogs of this breed at Open Show level.

3. To have attended at least one Breed Specific seminar and passed an assessment where applicable.

4. Working Group judges ( at CC level) will be considered individually.

C List

1. To have 5 years’ experience owning and exhibiting this breed and to have the support of a Breed Club.

2. To have judged at Open or Limited Shows where no more than 3 classes are scheduled.
